Attractions, Activities in Carmel Valley

In Carmel Valley, you will find all sorts of wonderful attractions and activities to enjoy. There are three championship golf courses — Ranch Canada Golf Club, Carmel Valley Ranch Golf Course, and Quail Lodge and Golf Club — where you can take in a round or two. You’ll also find numerous tennis courts if that’s more your style.

Enjoy a visit to Garland Ranch Regional Park. Here you’ll find more than 4,000 acres and activities such as mountain trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding along the willow-lined banks of the Carmel River. You’ll also find trails winding their way to the face of the Santa Lucia Mountains to a spot where you can enjoy views the entire length of the Valley.
Just a short 13 miles from Carmel Valley, you’ll find Carmel Valley Village here you can enjoy dining, wine tasting, antique shops and art galleries.

Carmel Valley is a great place to explore the arts. There are many galleries where you can find a variety of artistic styles. Some artists have even opened their studios to the public where you can see works in progress. Because art is so prominent in the area, it’s quite possible you’ll be enjoying a snack or a meal at one of the area’s cafes or restaurants, and you’ll find yourself tempted to purchase some of the display art!

An activity not to be missed in the Carmel Valley is visiting the vineyards and wineries. You’ll find a variety of vineyards that offer tours and tastings. You can even make it a day and have lunch at a vineyard, and then visit the surrounding art galleries and antique stores.
